Why Submit To This Writing Contest?
“In Hollywood a girl's virtue is much less important than her hairdo,” Marilyn Monroe. That statement by the iconic Marilyn Monroe is a telling look into our society. In this day of negativity, criticism, and sensationalism, the good and virtuous seems to have become far and few in between, leaving people looking for more uplifting and positive media.
Using your talents, you have the chance fight against the negative influences so rampant in our society. You will be able to promote goodness and virtue and be a source of light and inspiration. By submitting your writing to this contest, you will be promoting the good!
Virtues were proclaimed as essential in the days of the founders of the United States of America and we emphatically state that virtue is still relevant and vital to our day. George Washington said, “There is no truth more thoroughly established than that there exists in the economy and course of nature an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness.” Virtues are absolutely required, and in fact are the foundation, for a strong moral and civilized society.
• Have you been wanting to make a difference and help others?
• Is there a story in you that is bursting to get out?
• Do you have an experience that you need to tell?
Well, now is the time! Confucius said long ago, “Virtue is not left to stand alone. He who practices it will have neighbors.” Register for this writing contest and become one of many who will help others by giving of themselves.
You will also receive a free gift for submitting an entry. (One gift per person regardless of the number of entries. Gift will be delivered via email within one week of contest end date.)
